I'm trying to print labels on a DYMO LabelWriter 310 with the test program below. When I try to print, the LabelWriter spits out a blank label. I've contacted the DYMO developer support and they claim it has a standard printer driver. I've verified this by printing from InternetExplore on both Macintosh and Windows. They seem to feel that the program is not taking into account the small size of the print area, but I don't see what more needs to be done just to get something, anything, to print.
After going through the page setup, selecting an appropriate paper size for the printer, and setting the margins to their smallest values, the program inicates in the print method that the imageable size is 576 x 734, and the imageable x/y is 72/72. This indicates that the settings in the page setup have absolutely no bearing on imageable boundaries passed to the print method. This is obviously a bug in the Java printing support.
Is there anyone with any success on printing on label prints, or other tiny printers?
